  • Ready to give up diets but, still get nervous about what to eat.

Foundation of the Nourished Mindset Academy

  • Mindset

Your mindset determines everything! If you have black and white thinking about nutrition, then you will be stuck in the guilt cycle when it comes to eating. If you chose to change your restrictive mindset to a growth mindset, you are more likely to include nutritious food in your diet, eat food with flavor, continue to move forward in your goals even if the physical results are not there yet, and embrace fun foods without guilt.

  • Discipline

Change requires discipline. Period! Many women equate self-discipline with living a restrictive, moral life, which ends up creating a lot of shame when we fall off. In the NMA I guide you through building discipline without shame or "willpower". Doing something different takes discipline and I will hold your hand through it with baby steps. We are in this for the long-term sis!

  • Confidence

Building self-confidence is an important part of behavior change! Self-confidence doesn’t mean you won’t run into challenges. But you’ll know you can handle any obstacle and not be crippled by them. Being in the NMA will get excited about the woman you're becoming!

  • Community

A community provides a nurturing environment where individuals can learn, grow, and thrive. It offers opportunities for self-reflection and introspection, helping us to understand our habits and identify areas for improvement.

Your Fave Registered Dietitian

"Success begins when you commit to changing your mindset.”

Hey, Hey! I'm Esosa and I am a food lover like you! I love seeking new food experiences, trying new flavors, and cooking my cultural food with my family. Food is not only fuel for me. Food brings people together, unites different cultures, and even joy. As a Registered Dietitian, I believe all food can fit, but it’s all about the placement. I am passionate about folks breaking free from restrictive dieting, creating a healthy relationship with food, and building generational health with a mindset-focused framework. My nutrition philosophy is food should be enjoyed not feared. A balanced diet is flexible, not perfect.

For the past three years I couldn't understand why my energy was becoming so depleted. I tried all the supplements, tried keto, whole 30, Weight Watchers, and was still feeling the same way and was not really learning anything about balanced nutrition. After joining the Nourished Mindset Academy, I am full of energy, no longer guessing what I need to eat, and not restricting myself AND still seeing the results in my mindset, and body. I love it here!

It took me about a year, honestly, to realize that the key to successful weight loss (keeping it off) truly starts with your mind. The Nourished Mindset Academy speaks on all this and more. The transformation I had with the academy was realizing in order for me to be successful in my weight loss journey I had to develop a positive relationship with food. That means I have to be able to eat and enjoy the food I love while also being healthy. I am 20 pounds down, truly happy with the woman I am and never going back. Thanks, Esosa!

Working with Esosa in the Nourished Mindset Academy has been empowering. She has a common sense approach to nutritional where your favorite comfort foods, ethnic foods, and treats can all be a part of your diet. She provides resources and tools to help plan balanced meals and make progress toward goals. While working with Esosa, I've found new ways to prepare foods I previously disliked (hello, quinoa!), naturally decreased my soda consumption, and have seen my body composition improve. By making small changes over time, I'm creating sustainable habits that leave me satiated rather than feeling deprived. If you're ready for change, looking for long-term solutions rather than a quick fix and, are ready to put in some effort, Nourished Mindset Academy is for you!

FAQ

  • Will there be accountability in the academy?

Oh most definitely! I am all about high accountability. One of the most important things about making changes is community. Our private Facebook group will be like our virtual hangout. Everyone will be posting pictures of their meals and drinks, as well as workout check-in pictures. In the Facebook group, we encourage each other to continue to show up and move forward. Being engaged in the group is part of the accountability piece. When you have a group of ladies working toward a similar goal, it helps you stay accountable to your goals.

  • Does your program provide meal plans?

I am a firm believer that if you want long term change in your health and reach weight maintenance after weight loss, you need to be equip with the tools and strategies to do so. Cookie-cutter meal plans that are given to everybody do not provide you with the education and strategies you need. I help the ladies in my program come up with their own meal plans and give them the tools to become confident in the foods they choose without shame or guilt. I do not create meal plans in this program. If you want a meal plan that is created for everybody, this program is not for you. I review my client's meal plans and review their meals in real-time through the Facebook group.

  • Are results guaranteed?

While I can't guarantee a specific result because every individual body is different; here is what I know to be true... When my clients show up consistently for their tailored goals, present on the coaching calls, actively listen to all the lessons & implement as they go, PLUS change their focus from weight loss to behavior change they typically hit a weight loss milestone of 5-15 pounds during the first 12 weeks.

  • I'm really busy, will this help?

Whew chile! Yes. Listen, I'm a busy girl too. Running a business, a full- time job, with tons of obligations, I understand what's really needed to lose weight- and that's simplicity. From routine work, to mindset strategies, to recipe ideas that help you include foods you love, the Academy is perfect if you have a busy lifestyle just like me. Just remember, you have to make your transformation a long-term priority.

  • Can I cancel anytime? Do you offer refunds?

We do not offer refunds. There is a minimum three month commitment when enrolling into the academy.

  • I had gastric sleeve surgery. Will the Nourished Mindset Academy still help me in my specific needs?

It's important to realize your nutrition needs/requirements post-op 1+ years are not very different from what I would recommend for others who haven't had weight loss surgery in the Academy. Fiber intake, protein intake, lifestyle balance, nutritional balance, grocery shopping, adequate sleep, stress management, mindset work, expectation management, etc. These are all things that are very important for your journey as well. The major difference is portion size and estimated nutritional needs. Everyone in my Academy has specific nutritional/macronutrient needs. I do not give out sample meal plans with generic calorie and protein ranges. The academy has personalized aspects to it. Everyone will apply what they learn in the Academy based on their specific nutritional needs. I've had several bariatric clients that have come through the Academy.

  • Will I get the opportunity to ask questions 1:1 with you?

While this is a group program, I give my ladies plenty of opportunities to ask me questions specific to their needs and struggles and give tailored advice and step-by-step guidance. Everyone is given my business line to text me personal questions.

  • Are the group coaching calls mandatory?

Technically speaking, the coaching calls aren't "mandatory" but, it is a huge piece to building your nutrition knowledge, becoming confident in creating balanced yet delicious meals, and getting plugged into your new community.
